Feng Shui Tips for a Happy Home

Home is the one place in the big wide world where you feel the safest. Home is the place where a person can be truly himself without any worries. So it’s our responsibility to keep our homes shielded from all the negative energies and capture positivity around us to make our lives better. Feng Shui is a great way of achieving this purpose.

Here are a few tips on how to apply Feng Shui in our homes to envelop our homes in positivity.

1. The Entrance: When you enter your home the first thing you notice has the strongest impact on your subconscious mind. That is why it is necessary that what you see first when you enter your home should be invigorating and attractive. So to make your entrance look beautiful you can put an exquisite fountain, painting or anything that pleases you aesthetically.

2. The Tibetan Bell: To collect overall positive energy around your home, ring the Tibetan bell for few days every week. Doing this will improve the overall energy levels of your house.

3. A Baby’s Signal: If you are not willing to spend money on Vaastu or Feng Shui consultant after buying a new flat or house you can assess its energy by taking a new born baby to it. If the baby cries without any external cause, then this means that there is negative energy in your house. If the baby does not cry and remains calm and smiles then this means that your new house has positive energy.

4. The Unwanted Guests: If you sit on a seat near the main door or entrance of your house then you should make sure that you never sit with your back towards it. If some unwanted guests come to your house then make them sit on a seat such that their back is towards the main entrance or door of the house. You will notice that they will be leaving your house soon. Making unwanted guests sit with their back facing the door is a very simple trick to keep them away from your house.

5. The Three Legged Toad: To improve your savings, earnings, and thereby, your financial status, place a three-legged toad at your home in such a way that it faces the main door of your house. The three-legged toad is an ancient and allegorical Feng Shui symbol that signifies affluence, wealth and success.

6. The Flooring: The flooring of your house also plays a role in keeping positive energy in your home. You should check if tiles on your floor are broken. If you find any broken tile, then get it repaired soon because it spreads negative energy that might affect your relationship with your family members. If it is difficult to do a repair then just place carpet on the broken area/tile.

7. Clean the Clutter: This is well-known that if there is too much clutter in your home then it attracts negative energy and traps it inside fairly easily. To avoid this, you should make your home get rid of it as fast as you can. You should also not keep any damaged or broken instrument at your home like telephone, electronic item, watch, mirror, etc. After doing this, your house will fill with positive energy.

8. The Name Plate: You should keep a nameplate having your name and your address on the outside wall of your home. As per Feng Shui, this practice directs the good opportunities to your home. In this way, it helps to keep your family members happy and calm.

9. The placement: Placing of home equipment in the right direction also plays a vital role in keeping your home free from negative energy and full of positive energy. They include:

(a) You should place your bed in such a way that it should not face any mirror opposite to it, which means that you should not be able to see your reflection in the mirror while sleeping.

10. The Fish and Water: According to Feng shui flowing water and flowing fish are very propitious symbol that helps in reducing negative energy and attracting positive energies. But there are certain rules you must follow if you have them in your house. If placed incorrectly, they could cause energy imbalance in your home. Here is how you should do it:

(a) If you are going to install a water feature then make sure that it’s size should not be large. It should be small in size. You need to keep the water clean and moving at all times.
(b) If you are going to install a fish aquarium at your home, then you need to keep sure that water is clean and clear at all times. To turn away misfortunes from your home keep a small statue of fish in the bedroom of your home.
